Broker Courses
Once you have been licensed as a salesperson full-time for 3 years, you are eligible to become a real estate broker. In order to sit for the state broker’s exam, you will have to take another 150 hours of additional instruction as follows¹:
90-hour Broker Course
Our Real Estate Broker Course is designed to accelerate your real estate career with our industry-leading programs with a comprehensive 150-hour program of instruction, fully licensed by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission. Our course is meticulously crafted to prepare you to pass the state exam on your FIRST TRY.
Classes are held on Mornings and Evenings, with the opportunity to receive credits for doing homework.

Key Details
- 150-hour course licensed by NJ Real Estate Commission
- Schedule: Mornings 9 AM - 1PM, Evenings 6:30 PM - 10 PM
- Duration: 10 classes total
- Instruction from expert, licensed NJ real estate professionals
- Course completion certificates are issued upon finishing the course. These certificates, along with the waiver and other required documents/forms, need to be sent to the New Jersey Real Estate Commission to schedule the state exam.
30-hour Broker Ethics and 30-hour Broker Management Courses
- The 90-hour general real estate course must be completed before enrolling in the 30-hour Ethics and the 30-hour Management courses.
- NJAC 11:5-2.1(g)(5) After having successfully completed the 90-hour broker course, all candidates for licensure as a broker or broker-salesperson must successfully complete a 30 hour prelicensure course on brokers' ethics and agency law and relationships, and a second 30 hour prelicensure course on office management and related topics.
- Courses taught at your own pace with a combination of case studies and a written assignment
- The course meeting times are for additional instructor help.

¹ There is a discount if you register for all 3 Broker Courses. At Broker Registration, check the Broker Combo AND you will get the discount. If you only need both the Broker Ethics and Broker Management Courses, just register for the Broker Ethics/Management
All three courses of instruction must be completed within a period of one year. Broker candidates are also responsible for obtaining certification of full-time experience from their broker-of-record(s) that they worked for during the last 3 years (See the Commission’s website links below for the Broker Education and Experience Waiver Criteria form and the License Certification/License History form).
*If you are a licensed broker in another state, the New Jersey Real Estate Commission may give you a waiver for the 90-hr Broker Course, but you will still have to take the two 30-hr courses and receive a certificate for each course. (See the Commission’s website link below for waiver forms).
